Rain. In the last days we have enjoyed a soft, gentle rain. Good for the earth, the returning birds, and us.
Our hearts and minds have been filled with prayer for many close to us with deep needs. The Lord has sent the rain of his gentleness.
Our bodies have needed restoration from deep colds. The Lord has provided the rain of time for healing naps and quiet days.
Our spirits have desired friendship. The Lord has offered the rain of coffee shop and Skype conversations.
Our souls have longed for him, the Lord has given the rain of his Word. The rain of the Holy Spirit has sheltered.
Rain. Not a cloudburst. Not even a shower. More than a drizzle, or a mist. Just enough. A provision for what was needed.
“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. He provides rain for the earth…” Job 5:9 and 10a
