New TrailsFinally we have ski-able snow in Minnesota! New Year’s Day the snow was perfect for cross country skiing. The ski trails had been groomed and tracked just before me. I had the privilege and joy of being the first skier on the new tracks. Even though I was on a familiar trail, each new curve ahead had something new to offer.

This got me thinking about 2016 and the trails and curves ahead for us. Diane and I will take time this week for our annual planning retreat; looking back at 2015 followed by dreaming and planning for 2016. Some 2016 plans are in process, but experience has shown that the Lord always has surprise adventures for us around the next curve.

Just a year ago we began our first-ever round of visits with the Eastern Europe missionaries under our care. This winter we will complete those first visits and will begin a new round of visits to listen, pray, coach, teach and encourage. Pray with us as we plan, prepare and envision this year of ministry as Pastors to Missionaries.

Our ministry account had a great influx of giving in December for which we are extremely grateful; but, we are still in need of additional finances to cover travel expenses for 2016. You can join in the God-given adventurous surprises by giving online at www.efca.org/give OR giving through postal mail at Donor Services, 901 East 78th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55420 OR making a phone call to 800.745.2202. In your giving please note the IMA #1850. Thank you for journeying with us!
