What can I tell you?

Three months in between postings is too long. So much has happened, of course. We have almost reached the 95% mark of minimum monthly support needed! Thank you, Jesus!

What can I tell you?

The summer has come to an end and so has my 20 year position at the Middle School. I have resigned to move fully and completely in tandem with Brian to pastor our missionaries in Europe. Ten days ago I said good-bye to staff and students and now a new rhythm is needed.

What can I tell you?

According to the ever reliable dictionary.com, a pastor “is a person having spiritual care of a number of persons.” Therein lies our rhythm. To spiritually care for these persons, our missionaries in Europe,  we are busy doing any number of things. In the last ten days that means participating in a team meeting of pastors to missionaries, receiving assessment training, making Skype calls connecting our little spot in the USA to spots in the Czech Republic and Hungary, communicating with missionaries via email and FaceBook, and working on the ever present partnership development.

What can I tell you?

To pastor others we need to be with them. All the activities of the last 10 days are good, but nothing beats face-to-face when it comes to pastoring. Yesterday we received word of a couple living in Eastern Europe who need a pastoral visit. We want to tell them we will be right there!

What can I tell you?

We need a few more financial partners to join with us in our pastoring plan. Our rhythm has to take us across the ocean. $500 more a month will get us to that 100% mark of the minimum needed and “stand alone” gifts help so much with travel. We agree with Paul the Apostle, writing in the book of Philippians: “The gifts you sent…were more than enough, like a sweet-smelling sacrifice…filling the air with fragrance, pleasing God no end. You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours…”

What can I tell you?

The missionaries in Europe need us and we need you. Jump on board and see where the rhythm takes you!

What can I tell you?

Nothing but…THANK YOU!
